Travel Tips for energy sensitives

Have you ever walked into a hotel room and immediately felt “off” – and it’s too late to change rooms?

Traveling is fun but it can also be tricky navigating energies you are not accustomed to. It is no secret that spaces – especially buildings – can carry and contain certain energies. Hotels, vacation homes, holiday rentals – transient living spaces are notorious for accumulating negative energy. One reason why negative energy accumulates is because transient accommodation tend to “permit” activities that normally won’t happen in homes… for example, get into a big fight / quarrel, or have a breakup followed by a big cry without interruption kind of activity. Negative energy also accumulates around events that are tragic or violent – like a death, crime, or a serious accident. Or perhaps a person unconsciously “trespass” a resting space that a spirit or other entity is residing in… Negative emotional energy like fear, panic, distress can remain trapped on curtains, carpets, bedsheets, under the bed, in drawers, corners in spaces. Depending on how much and how thorough the cleaning is, negative energy can remain hidden and stay in a space for a really long time.

And that is not all. The bad news is, negative energy can transfer to the next unsuspecting person who walks into that kind of space. Some of these leftover / lingering energies have enough power to make a person feel uncomfortable, feel off, get a headache, feel nauseous, and even fall sick like run a fever. And if you are sensitive to energy, or more acute senses, you are likely to pick up these negative leftover energies more, and faster. Who doesn’t want a peaceful rest in a foreign place – be it on vacation, or trying to get some rest before or that big work meeting?

The problem is, it can be difficult to tell from hotel photos or traveler reviews if there is any leftover energy in a hotel room. And not everybody might experience the same thing as you, so you won’t know for sure until you step into the room. And then – well, the only step forward are reactive ones rather than preventive ones.

Everything begins with Cleansing

So even if the hotel room smells fresh and there’s nothing off or weird so it does seem counterintuitive to re-clean a hotel room you have just checked into, we still recommend cleansing. Smudging (e.g. burning sage or palo alto wood) is widely considered to be a viable portable cleansing method, but there’s always the risk of setting off the smoke alarm. Plus, more and more hotel / vacation homes discourage lighting / burning inside their premises, and some even charge or impose fines if the smoke alarm goes off – so smudging is not really viable for travelers. (Read more about what we prefer to reserve smudging for here).

So what any traveler really wants while on holiday is a convenient way to cleanse quickly and effectively, and this is why our cleanse spray is our best seller – it is a quick fix. Comes in a no fuss, easy to use spray dispenser – all you need to do is just spray a few squirts the moment you step into the room to enjoy a lighter, refreshed room.

Add on tip : dilute the cleanse spray with water (distilled is even better, if not tap works unless you are in a place where the tap water is brown – then normal bottled water is fine), 1 part cleanse, 5 parts water, in a diffuser, place it in the middle of the room to run for 20-30 minutes non-stop. Do the same for the bath room. If the space is very big, you can place the diffuser in different parts of your hotel room.

Shield to Enhance Your Comfort and Relaxation

Cleanse then shield is a universal principle : the most natural step to take after cleaning, is to protect your space. Protecting your space helps you minimize interference and minor disturbances, reduce energy loss. Shielding can be helpful especially when you are in a foreign space and can do with a quieter, calming space to unwind, relax and recharge : hotel rooms, public transport, crowded restaurants, while queuing and in waiting rooms… the list goes on. Besides, the practice of cleansing and shielding your space can cultivate more mindfulness and intentionality in you, no matter where you are. This is a great practice for any person to have!

There are several ways one can learn to shield oneself. A common practice is to set up a grid – assuming you have packed along these items for your trip. Another technique is to activate a personal energy shield – assuming everyone is able and have the right skills and consciousness to create an energy field that can last the whole night.

Our go-to solution to cleanse then shield while traveling comes in a handy bottle : shield spray. Spray the shield formula around your bed and let the shield formula that is extracted from plants create an energetic bubble around you. This bubble can keep away minor disturbances. A common feedback we hear from our users is how shield helps them feel more focused, more “pulled together” energetically, even when in a crowded place. Many also share they sleep more soundly when they use the shield spray in their hotel rooms.

Always cleanse before you shield. As shield creates an energetic bubble around you, it also means whatever is not removed prior to shielding will remain with you in your bubble.

Add on tip : dilute the shield spray with water (same instructions as cleanse spray dilution), place it beside your bedside and run it for an hour, or better yet, while you rest to enjoy a more restful sleep while being shielded. Use shield on your check-in luggage after you have finished packing and before you set off – for that little bit of protection while your luggage goes through luggage handling.

Add on tip: take a morning shower with FO bath before you head out for a day of sightseeing or traveling. This bath gently repels negative vibes with you – very useful when navigating crowds at tourist spots.

Reset Your Plane / Car / Bus / Train Seat

A common traveler’s nightmare is being stuck in a plane, car, bus or train seat for hours. The worse part is that due to the fact it is a shared / public space, there’s not much one can do discreetly / without coming across as being a phobic or too weird to counter bad vibes when they accumulate – and boy do negativity accumulate fast in a small confined area!

Our simple solution : Superclear! Superclear spray was made with the intention of creating a reset effect in your space or on you – so this is the ideal spray solution for long trips in confined spaces. So the next time you are getting ready for a long journey, pack our Superclear spray – just a few discreet squirts can refresh and reset your space when you need it – perfect for those confined shared spaces. It’s also not that awkward to squirt a room / body spray in public – the stranger-neighbour next to you is not likely to give you the evil eye for discreetly spraying now and then. Plus a spray is not going to set off any smoke detectors either.

Add on tip : Superclear is great if you are co-sharing bathrooms and toilets too. Spray Superclear after you are returned items that you have generously loaned out to your traveling companions because you tend to be the more prepared ones for unforeseen circumstances (e.g. jackets, luggage bags, hats).

Enhance your adventure with a bit of luck

Many people assume that our Liquid Luck spray is for increasing chances at lucky draws and the lottery but that is just one obvious way our spray can be used. If you enjoy a bit of “randomness” while you travel, or your traveling schedule is not fixed, you are free and you want to play and explore, experiment, aka you are looking for an adventure while you travel – why not try a sprinkle a bit of luck with Exoterica Creations’ Liquid Luck and see what comes your way while on exploring on holiday? Who knows – you might find yourself in opportunities to experience something new and exciting while you wander the streets, or win something, or increase your chance to meet someone interesting who can open doors for you. Remember to use the spray, and then go about your day keeping your mind open and alert to spot opportunities that open up.

Good luck! Happy and safe travels!
